You are ready to pack up your things and find your new home but WHAT is the first step in finding your dream home?

The FIRST step in the home buying process is to get PRE-APPROVED! Yes, start with a lender (after you find a great agent to work with of course).

There is NOTHING worse than imagining yourself in a new home, finding the place of your dreams, gearing up to write and offer and BOOM, you don’t qualify for that house! Not only that, you need to look hundreds of thousands of dollars less than what you thought. Now you’re looking at homes that frankly, don’t hold a candle to what you want.

Do NOT make this mistake. Before you even search the MLS, Zillow, Redfin, wherever you have bookmarked, find a local lender and get pre-approved.

Not only will getting pre-approve save you the disappointment of going backwards, it will also help you be ready to submit an offer when you do find your dream home! This won’t let others beat you to the punch and move in on your future place.
